New AG design and other stuff.

The first of our pictures today are of the 'cell phone bag' that Stefani created right away the day after creating the "Lemonade Purse". She did this one totally by herself with absolutely NO help from mom. She did an awesome job!

We used the loop that she made on the side and connected it to her purse, so it doesn't fall off or get left behind somewhere. I mean who wants two purses to have to keep track of??


Second is another AG design that I finished yesterday. Its the first of the "Halloween Series' that I am doing. Called rather obviously "Pumpkin"....

I have the next one "Fun and Funky Witch" on the hook, as we speak....or read...

I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. I love the orange. Its the "Mango" color by Caron Simply Soft Brites. Yummy color.

I have also been making socks like crazy. I have not, however, taken a single picture of any of them!! I have finished two pair, have the second of another pair on the needles right now and need to put the second of a different pair on a different set of needles. I am totally lovin this sock thing. I can crack out a pair of socks in about 3 days. That's just your super plain sock. Nothing real fancy. I will get fancy later. Plus I STILL have to finish my grandmothers prayer shawl!!! ARGH!! Her b-day party is NEXT Saturday, people, and I still have two 1/2 skeins to get on this bugger!!! I can't wait to show it to you guys tho...it is soooo pretty...

Today's Crochet News....

I introduce the newest designer...Stefani and the "Lemonade Purse"!

She decided to try color changing yesterday and decided she liked it. Since she had no real plan as to what she was going to make out of this very wonky rectangle (hey, she's still learning!) I helped her shape it into a purse. We just crocheted both sides together up around the 'flap' (this of course was single thickness) and back down the other side. She chose a teddy bear button from the box and we put a loop to close it up. We took both colors together and made a chain strap and away we go....

She was VERY pleased with the finished product and didn't she do a great job??

Desperate to...

...crochet...so I started another blanket. This is all stash yarn. The center is an orangey wool/acrylic blend, then the outer colors are some Walmart yarn. I made that orange/blue striped prayer shawl out of this same stuff. The pattern is called "Morning's Glory", but its done in brown and green (morning's glory??? yeah, i don't get the color choices either)...so chose these colors and I'm calling it "Caribbean Sunrise". My joining methods are really kind of a crap-shoot, but I figure as long as I'm consistently inconsistent it'll look just fine!

Still not sure on what the final size will be. I don't have enough oz's for what the pattern calls for, but the yarn I do have is going alot further than originally anticipated. So baby blanket? Lap blanket? Bigger blanket?....Who knows?!?

...green fleck yarn I got from Ebay? Well, here's the afghan and I STILL have to 2-1/2 skns of it left!! I'm thinking a hat/scarf/mittens set would be good....or some more squares?
