Annie's Spring 2020 Collection * has come out and it is full of adorable Summer tops and accessories! I am actually really excited about this new collection because of its versatility and style: here are my top 5 picks!
First is my most favorite. I was going to go 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, but then I realized that I love them all for different reasons. So, I decided to go most favorite...to my next most favorite.
This is the "Sky's the Limit" Top *. I love the fact that this top has a romantic feel with a modern edge. You could wear this both casually and formally. I'm planning to do a Spring CAL on my Facebook Page with this pattern- so keep your eyes peeled! I'll be posting about compatible yarns sometime in March.
This lovely piece is the "Escape Lace Shawl" * and it uses Scheepjes Whirl *. I have this pattern on my Annie's bookshelf and my Whirl is already set aside for this one! I'm always up for a challenge, and I'm always up for any reason to use my Whirls!! I gave you a link to LoveCrafts for the Scheepjes Whirl because they have the best price on the web and they ship from the US now- so it comes quickly! The colorway I'm using is Jumpin' Jaffa Pop. I picked that colorway because it's lovely for summer, but will transition to fall very nicely.
I just love this sweater. I think it's classy looking for both younger and older wearers. This one is the "Summer Circles Cardi" * pattern. Depending on the color you create it in, you could wear this with so many things. It would make a lovely cover for a simple wedding dress. It would be a gorgeous cover for a casual tank top and jeans date night outfit. You could even use it as a coverup over a swimsuit. This sweater is extremely versatile!
Isn't this just the cutest? Such a simple design with the cutest cap sleeves. This one is called "Under the Sun Tee." * If you're looking for a very simple garment to work on as either something quick to get done or as your first garment attempt...I would do this one. It's a very simple front and back that gets seamed together at the shoulders and the sides. No setting in sleeves. Just two pieces, some edging and bam-bam you're done! If I was still working outside the house, I would be making a few of these to wear to the office over the summer.
Last, but certainly not least. This just screams comfy style! This is called "Paradiso Tunic" * and from what I can tell from the pictures it is a top-down design. So, once again, no setting in sleeves. This is going to be another relatively easy make that would be some fun Summer wear either at the office or the beach!
There are 10 more patterns to the 2020 Spring Collection * at Annie's. Each one is as lovely as the next. There is definitely something for everyone. I encourage you to go take a look!
