As you have already done, we should never forget to give Him the glory. He makes all things possible, even the impossible.

I'm a native Floridian but can imagine the culture shock of moving here from Wisconsin. You'll love it.

Keep up the good work you have already begun and God will continue to prosper you. I too am a christian and you are an inspiration in this PC world we now live in.NanaGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17020876489283228833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37028268.post-14737213858183754912011-09-29T10:34:11.323-05:002011-09-29T10:34:11.323-05:00You know what? The first year was gut wrenchingly hard. Now I am happier than I ever thought was even possible. I met my husband here and had my daughter here and now I am definitely an Iowan. I am glad you and your family have your church. Before you know it you will be part of the community and it already sounds like people look forward to seeing you and yours. I really enjoy your creative blog. Keep your faith. Things will be great before you know it.Kashihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09222947465147690056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37028268.post-58894987672993140492011-09-22T11:06:16.727-05:002011-09-22T11:06:16.727-05:00Oh my heart goes out to you. Calif in 2008 and even though I fought it - God said GO!
Like you God has blessed my husband and myself in so many ways since that move. He continues to provide though we don't have jobs yet. Our new church and pastor is fresh- exciting and on fire with Faith in God.
Thank you for sharing.

Linda BrownyardLJBrownyardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00451016757303971569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37028268.post-15873032672662779812011-09-08T12:11:01.399-05:002011-09-08T12:11:01.399-05:00As hard as it is to be away from your family, it i...As hard as it is to be away from your family, it is good to hear you are finding ways to feel at home. I can relate in part. H...What a wonderful message. I can relate in part. Having lost my mate of 38 years, I had to "start over" yet live in the same place. It's hard to watch the friends (couples) you and your mate had cultivated over the years, slowly, but surely slip away from you. I am somewhat shy, so it has been a real challenge to make "new" friends. My children have been wonderful, but, they have children and lives of their own. I have relied on my church to be my "rock," and they haven't let me down!
I, too, have been singing since childhood. I consider it my only "gift" and I use it every chance I have. I sing in my church chancel choir, a men's gospel quartet, and a mixed contemporary Christian quartet. I have done community theatre and solo work too. So, Biz, go forth, use that gift that our Lord has given you. You will find the rewards are many...mostly fun and joy. Thanks for sharing your life.
On another note, being retired, I was looking for things to fill my time at home, and I discovered crocheting. I now make prayer shawl for shut-in, and others. I just completed an "evening wrap" and donated it to our local Senior Center for a fund raising silent auction. Crocheting is fun, relaxing and challenging. Even a man can do it!!
JEJimmie Earlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06117301181626973474noreply@blogger.com
