Abbreviations- US terms:
Ch- chain
dc- double crochet
sc- single crochet
sk- skip
sp- space
trc- treble crochet
ch3 counts as dc throughout.

Pattern:
R1- ch 38, sc in the second ch from the hook, sc in next ch, ch1, sk1, (sc in 3 ch, ch1, sk1) across, sc in last 2 ch. (28sc)
R2- ch3, turn, dc in first sc, ch1, sk ch1 sp, (dc in 3sc, ch1, sk ch1 sp) across, dc in the last two sc. (28dc) Cut and join with a new color.
R3- ch1, turn, sc in 2 dc, (keeping your stitch to the front-trc in the skipped ch1 sp from R1, sc in the next dc, ch1, sk1, sc in next) across to the last 3 stitches, trc in the skipped ch1 sp from R1, sc in the last two dc. (29 stitches)
R4- ch3, turn, (dc into next 3 stitches, ch1, sk ch1 sp) across, dc in the last 4 stitches. (29 stitches) Cut and join with a new color.
R5- ch1, turn, sc in 2dc, ch1, sk1, (trc into the skipped dc from 3 rows below, sc in the next, ch1, sk1, sc in the next) across, sc in the last st. ( 28 st)
R6- ch3, turn, dc in first sc, ch1, sk ch1 sp, (dc in 3 st, ch1, sk ch1 sp) across, dc in the last two sc. (28dc) Cut and join with a new color.
R7-22- Repeat Rows 3-6 four times.
R23- Repeat R3 once.
You can easily keep going on this to create whatever length you would like for your finished dishcloth. This is a great stash buster- so it's a great opportunity to use up all the small pieces.
