Calypso Crab Beach Bag Pattern

Calypso Crab Beach Bag Pattern

© 2018 Bizzy Crochet Designs

The Calypso Crab Beach Bag is sort of my introduction into accessories other than hats and scarves.
This pattern was created as an add-on pattern for the 2018 Mermaid CAL. Those that purchase the CAL get this pattern as a free add-on, however, if you don't want the afghan patterns you can now purchase it separately here.

You will need:
White Bag: DK weight- 60g Main Color, 10g each Contrast Color if you are planning to use 4. Scraps are perfect if you are planning to use a lot of colors in the moss stitch top and bottom.
F hook

Rainbow Bag: Worsted weight- 4 oz Main Color, 50-100g Contrast Color if you are making one like the rainbow bag.
H hook

Blue/Green Bag: Two Strands Fingering Weight held at the same time- 50g each ball Main Color, 25-40g each Contrast Color depending on how many times you repeat your colors.
G hook

Notes from Theresa:
You can use remnant or scrap fabric – recommend cotton or cotton blend.  For the bag made with worsted yarn, I picked up a remnant from WalMart measuring ¾ yard of 44/45 inch wide material for 1.48  and this was more than enough to line my bag. Wash, dry and iron your lining material prior to cutting and attaching to your bag.
Thread, sewing pins, tape measure and hand sewing needle (or sewing machine).
