**Sew sleeves to dress by matching the center of the sleeve to the shoulder seam. Using a safety pin, pin in place. Then match the ends to the bottom of the armpit. Pin one side in place. Starting on the opposite side, begin sewing the sleeve in place. Try to match row ends with sc around. Once you have sewn the arm in place, then sew down the length of the sleeve to close the arm and finish off, tucking in your ends.

Button Tie:
ch7, sl st in 7th ch from hook, ch10, sl st in 7th ch from hook and in last 3 chs. Fasten off, weave ends.

**Attach 2 buttons to upper back corners as shown in the picture.

**Attach button band as shown.

Optional idea for bodice ribbon:

ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, ch 107, sl st in 4th ch from hook and each ch across. Finish off, weave in ends and weave through beading on row 24 of bodice, tying in the back.
This would be very pretty in a contrasting but complementary color.

  1. My gauge was 5 rows=4” and 10 sc – 4” using the simply soft & F hook
I didn’t even bother measuring the gauge on the second attempt.
Ove tried this pattern in 3 different yarns and two of them would fit a 6 moth old child
My first attempt was using Caron Simply soft and a nF hook, just as specified in the pattern.
My Second attempt was using a baby yarn and the results were the same, HUGE. Also using an F hook
I m currently working with a cone yarn that is the smallest yarn that I know of before it becomes crochet thread again using the F hook.
So what am I doing wrong?

I see no date on your question so have no idea if you figured it out but I would say it will never come out correct because your gauge is off.
This is a very tight gauge if you read it 20 rows for 4 inch and your was 5 rows so you would have to modify the pattern or go way down in hook and yarn size and tighten up your crochet. I am a loose crocheter so when I find these awesome tight ones I copy the pattern and not to use very tight but in order to make clothes and anything you must meet the gauge or expect different results. <3
