Special Stitches:
Picot: ch3, sl st in 1st

3 Picot: (ch3, sl st in the 1st ch) 3x, sl st into the first ch
of the first picot to close.
Change color in the last stitch of the row, do not cut, carry the working yarn
up the edge of the dishcloth: yo in old color, insert hook, yo, pull up loop,
yo, draw through two loops, drop old color, pick up new color, yo and draw
through all loops to finish st, leave old color dangling until needed.”

Repeat Rows 5-8 four more times, finish
off Color 2, Repeat Row 5 one more time. Do not cut Color 1.
EDGE: Worked RS

NOTE: You will
count the first and last sc of the corner 3 sc as part of your side counts. Do
not count the center sc of the 3sc corner as part of your side. Each actual
corner st is marked, so your stitch counts will be “between the corners”.
Rotate your work 90 degrees so you are
crocheting on the left edge.
Side 1: (RS) ch1, sc in the first sc end of the side,
3sc over the next two rows until the opposite end, sc in the side of the first
sc from the bottom edge. (38 sc)
Bottom: 2sc in the first sc of the bottom, pm in the
first sc- marking that as your corner stitch, rotate your work to work into the
foundation ch and sc in each ch across the bottom to the last ch, 3sc in the
last ch of the bottom, pm in the middle of those 3 sc- marking that as your
corner stitch. (38 sc between 2 corner sc)
Side 2: Rotate your work so you can crochet on the
second side, 3sc over the next two rows until the opposite end, sc in the side
of the first sc from the top edge. (38 sc between 2 corner sc)
Top: 2sc in the first sc of the top, pm in the
first sc- marking that as your corner stitch, rotate and sc in each of the
stitches across the top finishing with 2sc in the last sc (pm in the second sc-
marking this as your corner stitch, and joining to the first sc of the round.
Finishing Edge:
Side 1: ch1, sc in the join and in the next 5 sc, (Picot,
sc and in the next 6 sc) 5 times, sc in the last 2 sc before the marked corner,
(sc, 3Picot, sc) in the center corner sc, rotate your work to work along the

Bottom: (sc in the next 6 sc, Picot) 5 times, sc in
the next 8 sc, (sc, 3Picot, sc) in the center corner sc, rotate your work to
work along Side 2. (5 Picots, 1 3Picot, 40 sc)
Side 2: sc in the next 7 sc, Picot, (sc in the next 6
sc, Picot) 4 times, sc in the next 7 sc, (sc, 3Picot, sc) in the center corner
sc, rotate to work along the top edge. (5 Picots, 1 3Picot, 40 sc)
Top: Repeat Side 2, join to the first sc to finish

Finish off and weave in ends.
